Enjoying the day

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

This morning I was thinking about LOA when something went wrong, I can’t remember what it was.  I remembered form the movie, The Secret, that if you get mad about it and really focus your emotions (anger) on it, a series of bad things will occur.  So I decided to live life in a fun and happy way.  I took the kids to the park, came home and am now writing outside in my journal while the kids play in the dirt with some sand toys.  Its about creating moments that leave you feeling fufilled, not negative emotions or memories.

Well, it happened again!

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I needed a dentist appt but didn’t really feel like making that appointment.  I used the law of attraction to get me an easy appointment at a good time and I didn’t have to really lift a finger to do it!  What a deal.  Well, I have been needing my yearly checkup at the Women’s health clinic but was having a bit trouble doing so.  For one, I was procrastinating.  Then I finally gave in and called and got the wrong number, so I hung up.  I thought I should use LOA to manifest myself an appointment or at least motivation for me to find the right number and call back.  Well, today in the mail I get a letter from the Women’s clinic persuading me to do my annual checkup AND if I DO, they will sign a waiver where I will get a $50 Wal-mart gift card!! Whoo hoo!  Now THAT is some good motivation.  I’ll call Monday asap! :)

Rolling with “the punches”

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

Sometimes you manifest something you want but don’t like the road it takes to get there.  But, what I think, you have to do is keep in mind the end result.  I wanted to stay home more with my child, so its happenning, but it also means that I am giving up an internship to do it.  I got to remember I can do this internship at a later date.  I also have to think of the pluses.

1. I get to stay home more with my baby.

2. Save a lot of money on childcare.

3. Will have more time next semester to do my practicum then, instead.

4. If I push myself (which I hope to) I can write more, for pay.  I’ll have more free time to do it.

5. Next year will be half practicum, half electives, which is a nice combo.

6. I can get straight A’s this semester since I will be able to concentrate on school full-time, and not be distracted by work.

7. I can still volunteer at that place where I was gonna do my practicum.

Yeah, it feels dissapointing but at least I’m trying to focus on the positives.  I know I attracted it, so I gotta roll with it and define what I really want.

Oprah’s Best Life Series

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

Oprah has begun her Best Life series this week.  There are some parts that inspired me and got me thinking.  I love how she and her guests kept mentioning that 2009 is OUR year to work on OURSELVES.  So many of us are so selfless and do not give ourselves all the respect we need and deserve.  Funny enough, I’m seeing this trend everywhere.  I can relate it back to loa and say I am attracting large masses of people telling me 2009 is the year to nurture myself.  Well, I’m listening.  I’ve written my 25 accomplishments for the previous year (2008) and three ways I’ve grown.  I’ve also wrote a journal entry which I hardly ever do.  I’m hoping this inspiration continues inside me as I’m fully inspired to make 2009 MY year!

I’m still amazed

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

(I’m sorry this is a bit late.  For some reason I had it in my drafts and never published!  I must have pressed save instead of post.  Sorry.  Pretend it was posted two weeks ago, lol)

I still am amazed when I manifest things that I ask for.  I recently bought my toddler his first shoes for $15 at Target.  This is EXPENSIVE for me!  But it was a Christmas present.  His only one, really, since he doesn’t need much.  He has so much from family and I don’t spoil him.  Anyway, he LOVES his shoes so I decided to look online for some inexpensive ones.

My latest addiction is internet shopping at really reduced prices.  I recently got my unborn niece shoes for $3 that normally cost $30 so I love internet bargain shopping.  Well, I posted on a couple of forums asking if they knew of any boys shoes for under $5, free shipping. This was two days ago.

Today I am amazed to find $4 Spiderman shoes, free store-to-site shipping! WHAT a bargain!  I’m just sitting here, thinking “wow, I asked for under $5 and I got my wish”.  Cool, huh?

Here they are, by the way:

Noticing things

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

It’s fun to notice things and realize you manifested that.  There have been things like that happening to me a lot lately.  Most are little things but enough to make me sit up and take notice that I got what I wanted.  It’s sort of cool.

One of them is when I was out and about with family and we saw this house that is shaped like a spaceship.  I mentioned there is another similar one in another part of town.  I thought in my head, how will I ever show the other to my family?  We are NEVER in that part of town.  Well maybe two days later, we were driving and trying to avoid traffic to see the Christmas lights and going down streets we wouldn’t normally take.  Suddenly, out of nowhere, we pulled up right in front of the spaceship house “on the other side of town”.  I was amazed and so happy.  I said “Hey!” to my family “that is the house I wanted to show you guys!”  I also told them I consciously used loa to get us there and we did.  I didn’t intentionally take that route to end up at that house but we ended up there and that was a cool little reminder that you get what you want out of life!

Another that I really liked is that I needed a dentist appointment for awhile now but didn’t want to call and make the appointment and deal with all of that and I knew if I called, I couldn’t find anything during my winter break anyhow, so why should I bother?  I conciously thought of loa and thought, if I had it my way, someone else would make the appointment, at a convenient time AND during my winter break.  I wouldn’t have to lift a finger, that was my ideal vision.  During the first week of my winter break my mom says, one night “I have to call and cancel my dentist appointment tomorrow”.  I smiled SO big and asked “can you tell them to book me in your place???”  So she did and I got my way.  I got my dentist appointment during winter break and I didn’t have to a thing.  The universe handed it to me and my mom called for me.  Nice!

2008 Accomplishments/2009 Goals

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

For the past few years I’ve been working with a book called “Life Makeovers” that gives you weekly assignments to get your life on the track you’d like it to be or at least shake you up enough to realize what areas you’d like to change or improve in.  Every year my favorite assignment is Week 1 where you make a list of 25 accomplishments you’ve made over the past year.  I love looking back on the areas I feel proud in and displaying those with confidence.  You should never be ashamed of those.  If you do, you will never accomplish great things because you are pushing yourself down.  No one is going to be your superhero, you have to do it.  So put those fears away and start celebrating what you’ve done in 2008.  If you do, more good things are bound to come your way in 2009!

The next assignment, which is my own “add-on” is to make a list of 25 “goals” so to speak that you’d like to accomplish in the next year.  Now, I don’t know about you, but when I hear the word goal, I think of something huge like climbing Mt. Everest or getting a promotion.  While your goals can most certainly be these, they can also be the “goals” we all just take for granted or never really focus on.  I will not call them small because they are only small if you call them that.  Such examples are ”Take more photographs” or “Make it a point to smile at the receptionist”.  See, they don’t have to be so difficult?  Anything that is pulling at your heart strings or telling you this is something you’d like to do or work on, write it down.

Do not feel trapped to write a maximum of 25.  Write to your heart’s content.  What the universe hears it delivers right back to you.

What I’ve Noticed

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

What I’ve noticed is that when I’m seeking some information I put trust in the Universe (and God) that somehow it will be revealed to me.  I don’t worry about when it will happen, or even how.  I just know it will.  I am a creative person and this is the way my “muse” works.  It works on impulse.  Once I even had a great inspirational idea through a dream!  Sometimes its simply driving to work when an idea hits me BOOM and I’m excited to persue it.  Or maybe I’m watching tv and somehow I connect what is going on with the idea I need.  I love when those inspirational moments hit.

Its just funny that I was practicing loa unintentionally.  I requested that an idea related to “x,y,z” come to me and trusted it eventually would.  I also knew that when that idea came I would know it was “divine intervention” as I would have a strong AHA! moment.  This request and delivery never seems to fail. :)

Chapter 1&2 Review

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

I’ve read Chapter One and Two of the Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Law of Attraction.  So far I haven’t had any revelations.  Everything I read thus far is pretty much what I already know.  It talks about raising our vibration, sending out the signal we want into the universe so it is reflected back to us.  If you want money, think great thoughts about it, not worrying about debt.

Ya, ya, I already know all this.  However, I guess it would be a good starting point for those who are really new to the law of attraction.  So far, The Secret movie and The Secret book have both been more interesting than this book.  Since I only read the first two chapters, I figure those were just kind of introductions.  I am feeling positive the book will start picking up and help inpire me to really put my manifestations to work.  Actually, now that I think of it I think there was one part towards the end of Chapter 2 that caught my interest and really inspired me but I can’t think of what exactly it was.  It may have been really daydreaming and getting clear on what you want and you will attract exactly that.  I have a notebook and plan on writing my dreams down, on what I want to manifest in my life.

I’ll let you know how the rest of the book goes.  I think the visualization stuff should be good.  I also ordered The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Visualization that should arrive in the mail soon.  I bet that one is great.  Talking with other loa users, they are actually the ones that reccomended the Visualization book to me.

The Complete Idiot’s Guide to The Law of Attraction

Published by esper_d under Uncategorized Edit This

I’m so excited! My book came in from Amazon. Wow, that was really fast too!  I had some free Amazon gift certificates from doing surveys online and decided to treat myself to two books and buy another book for a friend.

So I ordered these two days ago and my book already came in.  Now that it’s my Winter Break I’m really looking forward to just sitting down, lounging and reading away.  I haven’t even had any ME time this whole semester.  Graduate school is no joke.  I totally deserve this break to just sit down and read this book.

Truth be told, I haven’t been practicing my LOA skills the way I’d like to this semester.  I’d like to find a way to balance a school/mommy/family/friends/social justice/extra curricular activities LIFE with my loa.  I deserve to live the life I want and if I don’t take the time to spend time on me, then I’m saying to the world I don’t deserve more.

I’m going to start the book tonight and give a review of it when I’m done.  I’m sure I’ll be inspired along the way to blog about insights and such too.
